Discord Bot Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These terms apply to the PokeDealFinder Discord bot. By adding the bot to a Discord server, or by using its commands, you agree to them. Our mobile app and website are covered separately by our main Terms of Service.
You must also comply with Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
2. What the bot does
The bot posts Pokémon TCG listings from eBay that our systems have identified as priced below their estimated market value, into channels a server administrator chooses. Members may separately opt in to personal alerts by direct message.
To add or configure the bot you need the Manage Server permission in that server.
3. No warranty on deals, prices or availability
This is the part that matters most, so read it carefully.
- Market values are estimates derived from historical sales data. They can be wrong.
- A listing described as a "deal" may not be one. Card identification, grading and condition are inferred from listing titles and images and are frequently imperfect.
- Counterfeit and misrepresented items exist on eBay. Always inspect the listing, the images and the seller's feedback before buying.
- Prices and availability change constantly. A listing may be sold, edited or removed before you see it.
- We do not guarantee that any particular deal, or any deals at all, will be posted.
Everything the bot posts is provided "as is", for information only. It is not financial, investment or purchasing advice. Every purchase decision is yours.
4. We are not party to your transactions
All purchases happen on eBay, between you and the seller. We are not a party to any transaction, we do not handle payments, and we cannot help with orders, refunds, returns or disputes. Those are matters for eBay and the seller.
5. Affiliate links
Links posted by the bot are eBay Partner Network affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which listings are surfaced — feeds are selected purely by the criteria you configure.
6. Availability
The bot is provided free of charge with no uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, rate-limit or discontinue it, or change which feeds exist, at any time and without notice. Delivery depends on Discord's API, on your server's permissions being correctly configured, and on our own infrastructure.
Feeds may be paused automatically if the bot repeatedly cannot post to a channel. Run /feeds check to diagnose.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the bot to break Discord's Terms of Service or the law
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the bot or our systems
- Scrape, resell or redistribute the bot's output as your own commercial data product
- Strip or replace the affiliate links in posted content
We may remove the bot from any server, or block any server or user, at our sole discretion — in particular where the bot is being abused or used to break these terms.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the bot, including losses from purchasing decisions, missed deals, inaccurate valuations, counterfeit or misrepresented items, or service interruptions. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Data
What the bot stores, for how long, and how to have it deleted is set out in the Discord Bot Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use of the bot after a change constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, remove the bot.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
